An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced nurses in Critical Care to undertake the role of MET team member. The primary aim of this posts are to be part the of the Critical care Outreach programme across the trust and part of the team of responders to medical emergency calls.
The post holders ill have a role on the Critical Care unit to maintain critical care skills and work across all acute hospital areas sharing those skills and empowering others to look after acutely ill patients. They will be responsible for following up patients that have stepped down from the Critical Care environment to ward areas and promoting high standards of acute patient care.
The successful post holders will have significant experience in a Critical Care environment and should have excellent interpersonal, team building and communication skills.
The Trust has a combined bed capacity of approximately 875 beds at Whiston and St Helens hospitals and provides a full range of acute in-patient, out-patient, day case and emergency services to the local communities of St Helens, Knowsley, Halton and Liverpool, extending to Cheshire, Merseyside, North Wales and the Isle of Man with the Regional Plastic Surgery and Burns Unit.
