We are a team providing a traded service of a full range of governance support, including clerking, for the governing bodies of Southwark schools. We are looking for a dynamic professional to join our friendly, hardworking team, following the promotion of a team member.
You will be required to prepare agenda, attend governing body and committee meetings (mainly in the evening) and occasional exclusion and parental complaint meetings, provide a wide range of advice both at meetings and at other times, write up minutes within our service standard of 10 school days, and carry out follow-up actions.
You will need to have very good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You must have experience of working with computer systems and software programmes including advanced word-processing. You must have the ability to manage your own work, to prioritise and to meet tight deadlines.
You must have experience of working as a clerk in a school setting to apply for this post. You must have a detailed knowledge and understanding of a wide range of educational matters, including regulations and legislation around school governance.
