Location: De Montfort Hall, Granville Road, Leicester LE1 7RU. Occasionally staff may be required to work at alternative locations to suit the needs of the ticketing service within Leicester City Council
Hourly rate for this post is £9.42 per hour. (basic pay is £8.09 per hour, however we are committed to paying the Living Wage at £8.45 per hour. In addition, you will be paid holiday on every hour worked at £0.97p per hour).
This is a casual post, working at Level C of the attached Career Grade. Your hours of work will be variable, as and when required. Adhoc hours of work will include evenings, weekends and occasional bank holidays.
De Montfort Hall is the premier live entertainment venue for Leicester presenting a programme of performances that include musicals, classical concerts, opera, ballet, family shows, popular touring artists and comedians.
We are looking to increase our pool of casual staff to be part of this exciting environment as Box Office Sales Associates. You will be responsible for delivering the highest level of customer service, providing ticketing services and general information on our performances and events.
Requirements of the post:
- Ability to promote clarity and accuracy of information and continuously deliver a high level of service throughout the sales process
- Ability to work under pressure and to stay calm in difficult situations
- Experience of working in a theatre or arts environment is desirable
- Experience of both face-to-face and phone sales
- Able to work unsociable hours including mornings, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays as required
