The company: Gressingham Foods is a family run business that has been operating for over 40 years. We grow, manufacture and distribute Gressingham ducks and speciality poultry to retailers across the UK and have complete control of our products from farm to fork. The marketing department’s main goal is to get more people cooking with duck in their homes and their marketing activity sets out to achieve this.
Purpose: To support the Marketing Director and Managing Director in the development and delivery of marketing activity to support business and brand growth. Role will be based at Gressingham’s head office in Debach, Woodbridge.
The role: The role is varied and is made up of the following.
Brand collateral – Co-ordinate the production of marketing materials e.g. advertising, photography, recipe cards, point of sale, signage, press releases etc.
Brand guidelines/packaging – Provide support to others to ensure all branded activity adheres to established brand guideline. In particular assist in the coordination of all Gressingham branded packaging from design to print.
Festivals and events – manage all matters relating to Gressingham Foods’ presence at consumer and trade events including organization and administration of the presence at the event (e.g. organizing POS, chefs, equipment, staff) and attending the events. This will require a limited number of weekend days (with time off in lieu).
Internal Communication - creating content and publishing quarterly business briefing updates, bi-annual internal newsletters and co-ordinating company charity fundraising activities.
Website, social media, newsletter – Updating and uploading web page content, updating company’s social media feeds, create content for monthly customer newsletters to 110K customer database. Develop relationships with bloggers.
Sales support – provide support to the Sales team in preparing for retailer meetings (presentations).
Supplier management - Liaison with and management of agencies/suppliers as required in the delivery of marketing activity; e.g. I.T, PR, design, photography
Marketing budget administration - organization of POs, tracking of expenditure.
Partnerships – Researching and develop relationships with potential ‘like minded’ partner brands for competitions and other tie ups.
Other – Assisting with general office duties and other specific projects from time to time as directed by the Marketing Director.
