Operational Manager -Resource Planning - Glasgow
We are looking for an experienced Planning or Operational Manager to effectively lead colleague deployment & scheduling teams. Ensuring the effective translation of business plans to customer and colleague demand plans, and deploying colleagues in the most effective way to meet our customers needs.
Being an inspiring people leader and role model by leading the development of a culture to support our people plan and the fair treatment of customers;
Delivering all planned services and objectives within budget;
Lead the team in making key decisions regarding resource allocation, recruitment, shift patterns and seating planning;
Lead translation of forecasting models for all demand types, translating the data to customer and colleague demand plans down to intra-day levels including real-time activity;
Support manpower planning within customer service including recruitment and training plans
Lead analysis of operational performance data to actively drive performance to SLA's in Customer Service identifying root causes of deviation from plans to take corrective action;
Develop resource deployment and allocation of work including shift patterns, recruitment and colleague promise
Identify, recommend and implement agreed changes to the planning process using experience, external benchmarking and continuous improvement methodology;
Role holder has been delegated responsibility to manage specific risks and controls in their area;
Role holder is accountable for ensuring control monitoring is carried out and results reported in a timely manner.
What we are looking for:
- Extensive experience in a planning role;
- Preferred experience leading a team;
- Excellent written and verbal communications;
- Expert use of MS Office Suite;
- Excellent influencing and relationship management skills
