This post is ideal for those with a background in immigration advice who are seeking to develop their expertise in the area of
Tier 4 compliance.
You should have a demonstrable track record of working with policy documents and associated operational processes. With
a keen eye for detail you will work with students and colleagues across the University to maintain compliance with our
requirements as a Tier 4 Sponsor.
International Student Support (ISS) sits within the Student Support & Guidance (SSG) Section of the Student Support
Services. SSG is responsible for providing specialist support to students of the University of Sheffield in particular,
international students, students in financial hardship, students of diverse and non-traditional ages and backgrounds and
students in crisis.
ISS provides a range of support to students and staff including immigration advice and guidance to incoming and existing
students; induction, orientation and integration activities under our Global Campus banner; and policy development in
compliance with our responsibilities under Tier 4 of the Points-Based immigration System. In addition to these student-facing
services, SSG also provides training, advice and support to colleagues throughout the University who are involved in
supporting students within their own context.
