This is an exciting opportunity to assist in the day to day running of an exciting, dynamic Performing Arts department in an outstanding Sixth Form College. The role is likely to suit a recent Performing Arts or Drama & Theatre Studies graduate or an individual that may be considering a future career in teaching. The position could involve shadowing teachers and observing and supporting on the department’s teaching and learning.
Between the two curriculum areas of Performing Arts and Drama and Theatre Studies the department has 6 members of teaching staff, 2 technicians and 100+ students. The department is extremely well resourced and continually delivers outstanding results, with many of our students progressing onto Drama Schools and University courses.
We are seeking an individual with the following skills and characteristics-
- A genuine passion for the subject;
-Excellent administrative skills inc- word-processing, filing, photocopying,spreadsheets,use of publisher
- Good organisational skills
- Desire to continue to develop knowledge and skills;
- An ability to multi-task;
- Enthusiasm for working with 16-18 year old students;
- A positive commitment to the needs of students from a variety of backgrounds;
- Outstanding communication skills.

This position is on a term time only basis and from time to time may involve additional, out of hours duties which can be paid or can be accrued on a time off in lieu basis. .
