Holiday Cottage Caretaker Jobs Vacancy at National Trust Settle Jobs Details:
What makes a stay in a National Trust holiday cottage that extra bit special? There’s the dramatic location and the glorious scenery. There’s the getting-away-from-the-hustle-and-bustle feeling too. But for lots of our guests, it’s the thoughtful home-from-home touches. Like the fire you’ve prepared for them, to the biscuits and milk you’ve left out in case they’re peckish or craving a cup of tea.
This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
What it's like to work here: This outstanding area of limestone pavements, upland hill farms and flower-rich hay meadows provides a marvellous setting for walking, cycling or just enjoying the great outdoors. The National Nature Reserve is home to a unique community of rare plants and animals - the boardwalk through the reserve in particular is worth a visit.
What you'll be doing: It’s the details like this that make you such a brilliant caretaker. On change-over days, you’ll make sure that everything’s clean and ready for our guests to arrive. This will include making sure beds are made, the laundry’s fresh and that the property is stocked up with fresh milk and flowers. We’d also like you to keep an eye out for any repairs or odd jobs that need doing. You’ll also be on hand to provide a warm welcome to our visitors and to respond to any questions or queries they may have during their stay.
