Responsibility for managing the development & sales execution (sell-with) between Level 3 direct sales and select Global and Regional partners. The objective is to lead to an increased growth of new direct sales via a partner channel. The role is to identify non-conflicting and complementary partners and to onboard and develop the relationship for the EMEA region.
Responsible for developing/ feeding into the overall EMEA Channel strategy, in conjunction with key stakeholders and ensuring that strategy is executed effectively.
Meet or exceed annual fiscal plan and execute tactics on a quarterly basis to achieve that plan.
Support the engagement of channel partners in conjunction with the Level 3 sales force to properly identify critical business drivers / problems and develop appropriate joint solutions which effectively meet the channel customers' needs.
Establish key metrics (sales & marketing) for success including sales & revenue growth, margin profile (cost of sale & service), and Level 3 brand preference.
Serve as the partner's single point of contact.
Oversee day-to-day operation including presenting solutions & programs to partners, jointly developing margin-rich solutions proposals, negotiating co-sell agreements, and collaborated sales execution.
May be asked to be a 'team leader' to provide Level 3 professional focus and coordination at a key account, where the local partner is strategically positioned as the trusted advisor.
Encourage lead generation and lead sharing between Level 3 and the regional channel partner and referrers, assisting with the qualification of the leads.
Drive sales engagement between Level 3's wholes sales force, sales overlay and the local partner's sales force for qualified leads and opportunities.
Ensure that teaming opportunities are properly tracked and reported in/from Salesforce.com
Develop new relationships with regional channel partners, deemed appropriate to the EMEA channel strategy.
Assist marketing with sales enablement efforts (Level 3 and regional channel partner sales force training, field marketing activities and events, etcetera).
Formally manage the governance process to monitor and assess existing regional channel partners for partnership effectiveness and measure performance against goals and objectives (funnel, wins, targeted markets, solutions, etc.).
Key focus on commodity solutions (DDoS) as we mature this vertical program and associated channel partners creating opportunity
Strong relationships or previous work experience with system integrators, OEM technology providers, application developers, VARs, Cloud infrastructure services and global accounts.
A self-starter who is highly entrepreneurial and able to operate independently in a dynamic environment often lacking well-defined processes.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, analytical & strategic thinking acumen, and strong interpersonal skills for savvy relationship management.
Competency in various data, voice, and content services.
Analytical proficiency in market sizing & segmentation, financial forecasting, and general business planning.
Knowledge & understanding of telecommunications industry structure & value chain.
Ability to develop achievable tactical plans in support of top strategic corporate initiatives.
Ability to build new relationships at the senior executive level.
