Role Profile: Electrical Process Control and Instrumentation Engineer
Location: Wakefield, South Kirkby

We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Process Control and Instrumentation Engineer. Reporting to the Engineering Maintenance Manager, the overall purpose of the role will be to support and assist with the overall site wide electronic controls and instrumentation, policy, regulations and documentation.
To provide technical electronic engineering support to the South Kirkby site.
To push forward with technological improvements and efficiency improvements across the site wide process and equipment.
To provide the day to day practical hands on programming and control of the electronic process control and other electronic systems on site.
Demonstrate skills in requirements gathering, design, configuration, integration and implementation of process control solutions for the manufacturing industry including batch software, PLC / DCS systems, HMI packages, SCADA systems, Visual Basic and PC networking technology and general electrical systems
Have knowledge of process manufacturing field instrumentation, technology and batch process manufacturing expertise in all of the following project phases: Requirements documentation, detailed design generation, implementation, system integration, testing and on-site startup
Solutions implementation and support of the project team objectives
Provide technical direction or leadership on a project basis for one to ten process control engineers
Plan and coordinate technical design and engineering implementation of project work
Identify the technologies to be used for new applications and extensions of current architectures.
The Technical support of the Electrical and Electronic systems on site through PPM and CMMS systems
Desired knowledge, experience and qualifications:
BEng or BSc in Electronics, Chemical or Computer Engineering
Electrical Fault finding
Proven experience with any of the following PLCs: Siemens S7, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Omron, etc.
Proven experience with any of the following DCS Systems: ABB, Honeywell, Emerson, Westinghouse, Bristol Babcock, etc.
Proven experience with any of the following HMI or SCADA software packages Win CC, Wonderware, Rockwell
Sound experience of programming leadership, as well as the ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, and provide detailed documentation upon project completion. This person will be the project technical lead and may be responsible for some project management activities.
Sound experience in a similar position is required.
Basic health and safety IOSH/ Nebosh Managing safety.
Control and writing of Risk assessments and Method statements
The writing of Safe systems of work, procedures and other documentation.
The specification of electrical parts and spares
Experience of BMS systems, Fire alarms and Nodal fibre optic systems
Experience in water or waste processing, Chemical, Bio-Tech, and Pharmaceutical industries
