Year 5 Teaching Assistant Role
As a Year 5 Teaching Assistant your role will involve you assisting the teaching and learning specifically within a cheerful Year 5 class of 27 pupils. By listening carefully to the advice of your mentor, an experienced Class Teacher, you will be in the perfect position to develop key teaching skills.
You will have the responsibility of leading children on a 1:1 and small group basis in key areas of the curriculum. The successful Year 5 Teaching Assistant will be offering extra support to teachers in after school clubs, ensuring the smooth running of activities at all times. You will quickly learn what it takes to create an engaging lesson plan that meets the requirements of the curriculum as you assist the teacher with this task on a daily basis.
