Your key responsibilities: Sky Finance have been implementing a new ERP platform (SAP & Ariba) across the UK, Ireland, Germany and Italy businesses. New financial systems have meant designing new controls (both functional and technical) around the Procure to Pay, Order to Cash and Account to Report processes to ensure risks of operation are mitigated appropriately. We want to manage & evidence the operational of these controls appropriately, link them to the new processes so that we can always prove we have effective control in place. This role will need to liaise closely with UK, Italy and German colleagues to prove the controls are operating well and if there are issues to resolve, that these are resolved in a timely and collaborative manner.
We also need to ensure that the new processes are governed appropriately and that all our users across the countries and teams are aware of the financial processes and the impact of any changes. We do this through a number of central websites that display the information to the business and finance in a user-friendly manner – these are subject to monthly governance meetings to control and agree changes. - Ensuring Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) controls are well defined, robust and operationally evidenced to a high degree on a monthly basis - Reviewing audit reports relating to the Financial systems and SAO controls and addressing any weaknesses identified - Governance of the European and UK financial websites - Reporting and control of Design Authority Group decisions and priorities centrally - As one of three Financial controllers in the department, you will be responsible for organising team meetings and running several small projects around development and/or coaching of staff - Direct management of one or two supporting Analysts Your skills: - Some Audit experience (essential) - Qualified accountant (essential) - Strong knowledge of SAO and SoX Control framework (essential) - Ariba/SAP knowledge (desirable) - Facilitating & Chairing meetings (essential) - English (essential), Italian (desirable), German (desirable) - Financial systems knowledge (desirable) - Small amounts of travel possible to Scotland (shared service centre) and Milan (technology centre) If you’re ready to work in a dynamic environment alongside talented people who take pride in delivering great results, apply today Happy to talk flexible working It’s our people that make Sky Europe’s leading entertainment company.
