Union Industries was formed by Paul Schofield in 1972 as a tarpaulin manufacturing and repair business operating in Leeds. It was run along traditional lines until 1991 when its activities were moved into Union's newly enlarged and refurbished factories, locally known as Angel's Wing.
Detailed Job Description
Union Industries are looking for a capable, flexible, willing and motivational person to complement and give support to their well established sales teams.
As Sales Office Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing the internal and external sales team to create a sales culture and manage customers in a progressive way. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join an incredibly progressive organisation who are destined to see major growth. As with any SME, this is an opportunity to become hands-on and involved with multiple business functions, assisting in the growth and development of a market leader.
The right candidate will ensure individual and overall targets are met to help increase sales of their high quality Industrial High Speed Doors. You will work very closely with the Sales Director and the Internal Sales team leader to ensure the internal sales office team and the external sales team, are focused and operating efficiently and effectively.
The successful candidate will report directly to the Sales Director. The Sales Office Manager's role and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Ensuring each member of the sales team are contributing equally towards the agreed sales targets.
The accurate keeping and reporting of sales performance figures and statistics, including KPI's.
Acting as liaison between sales and production departments.
Undertaking regular marketing activity; including social media updates, press releases, website updates, email campaigns and advertising.
The managing and reporting on various sales projects.
Managing sales process improvements.
Provide continuous training, support and motivation to all members of the sales team.
Candidate's Profile
The ideal applicant will have an excellent grasp of English with an ability to communicate in a pleasant but intelligent manner at every level. It is an absolute necessity that you have good administrative skills and be IT literate. You must also have experience managing an internal or external sales team and ideally, you would have previously been or currently be an area sales manager yourself.
The successful candidate will ideally come from an industrial/technical background and previously sold capital equipment.
