Job Term: Permanent & Fixed Term
Appointment Type: Full time & Part time
Days of work: Monday to Friday
Hours per week: 2x 18.5 1 x 37 Hours
Service Area: Children & Young People's Support & Safeguarding Services
Place of Work: North Area

Youth & Family Support have an exciting opportunity, we are looking to recruit enthusiastic and creative Prevention & Education Practitioners until. The successful candidates will work with schools delivering early help and preventative support to young people, parents/carers and school based pastoral staff.

The post-holder will:
1. Deliver group sessions on a range of risk taking behaviours, including Child Sexual Exploitation, Substance Misuse, Self-Harm, Eating Disorders, Bullying, Online Saftey, and Sexual Health and Relationships.
2. Support young people and families with low level (tier 1 needs) mostly on a 1:1 basis.
3. Maintain and update records on young people.
4. Work in partnership with schools to design and deliver pathways of support.
5. Show a commitment and ability to work in partnership with other agencies for the benefit of young people and families.
Ideally we would like the candidate to start as soon as possible and the post requires occasional evening and weekend working.
We currently have the following posts all based in the North Area (Bridlington, Driffield, Pocklington, Market Weighton area) Please indicate clearly which post you would like to apply for;

1 x Part time temporary post until 31/03/2019
1 x Part time permanent post
Those that are successful from shortlisting will be invited to an assessment day 11/06/2018. The assessment day will be as follows

  • Introduction & exploring the role
  • Observation activity
  • Written interview
  • Scenario test
  • Lunch and meet the team.
  • Questions for the management team.
Those that are successful from the assessment day will be asked to attend a final interview 14/06/2016.
