Global Pre-Sales Director – Gift Card Issuer

My client is a global leader in its field of gift card services. With more than 25 years of industry experience globally, their team of professionals has cultivated expertise in Retail Gift Cards, Promotional Cards, Mobile Interactivity and eCommerce solutions.

I am working on a retained basis for an Global PreSales/Systems Integration Director which is a multi-faceted role supporting new and existing clients through all phases of technical readiness. The individual provides product and technical support to sales staff during the sales process; and will work directly with the customer and associates across all departments to manage medium to large customer project implementations.

Key Responsibilities:

Facilitate the implementation of products/services in a customer-focused manner. Promote new and/or additional revenue opportunities for the company.

Oversee all aspects of the projects, set and adhere to deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarise the status of the project. Provide project plan updates via project tools or Word documents on a regular basis.

Serve as the overall technical consultant for clients seeking to install, upgrade or change their authorisation process and/or all other system integration touch points. Support the client and/or the clients’ vendors managing all test requirements.

Review the Sales Information Workbook (SIW) and conduct introductory and implementation calls with the client to review and validate the products sold. Collect all necessary data from the sales rep and from the client to accurately complete the setup and implementation of the account.

Assess training needs and conduct training with the client as needed. Handle more complex setups and manage implementations that fall into a larger time frame for implementation completion based upon an agreed upon “go live” with the client.

Seek up sell opportunities and provide leads to sales representatives. Make suggestions for process improvements to address project quality, cost reduction, cycle time and/or productivity.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or Business Administration is required; along with 4 – 6 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Familiarity with project management software, tools and techniques; PMP certification is preferred.

Multi-lingual to support our European clients; fluency in German and English is highly desirable.

Experience with German and European POS providers like Futura, BE-terna, höltl, Diebold-Nixdorf, payment providers or E-Commerce Shops like Magento etc., would be desirable.

Strong analytical and problem solving skills, attention to detail, a thorough command of organization, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, ability to conduct onsite presentations and effectively facilitate meetings.

Able to think out of the box and is action-oriented. Can easily pose future scenarios; can identify and present opportunities based on client’s needs. Able to deliver difficult information to clients in a positive, constructive way.
