The Acute Medical Unit at North Manchester is undergoing innovative change and expansion to provide the highest standard of acute patient care. It is led by a team of motivated, forward thinking and dynamic consultants who embrace change and development for the service. We work closely with our multidisciplinary teams based on the unit as well as with other specialities based on site at North Manchester, including Infectious Diseases.
The unit currently assesses and manages 40-50 patients per day on the unit and a further 15 per day that are managed through ambulatory care.
We are looking to recruit highly motivated individuals who will play a pivotal role in the expansion and development of the acute unit. You will need to have proven experience in a personal assistant role and be able to support the team of Acute Consultants. You need to demonstrate the ability to set up systems and processes to facilitate the safe and effective function of the Unit.
Line management experience is advantageous.
You will need to be able to work within the team and independently at times under pressure and support the consultants with administration and secretarial support.
