These are fractional fixed-term tutorial teaching vacancies. The salary includes preparation for and delivery of tutorials as well as marking of student coursework and communication with students outside class time.
Current SOAS PhD students will be appointed as Graduate Teaching Assistants; other applicants will be appointed as Teaching Fellows.
Skills and experience
Candidates will be expected to have (or to acquire, in the case of Graduate Teaching Assistants) specialist knowledge in the subject(s) related to the contracted module, the ability to teach undergraduate/postgraduate students from a diverse background, and strong time management skills, with the ability to plan work independently and meet varied deadlines.
