Greater Manchester Police is one of the UK's largest police forces and is responsible for keeping people safe across more than 1,200 sq km. The Force covers the Manchester, Salford, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Stockport, Tameside, Trafford and Wigan areas.
GMPs officers and staff work 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to keep almost three million people safe. The Force has 11 geographical policing areas known as Divisions that ensure it provides the best possible service to people who live, work and visit Greater Manchester.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new team who will be focussing on providing comprehensive wellbeing support across the force, assisting in maximising the attendance and effectiveness of GMP staff by promoting positive Wellbeing.
Acting as a first point of contact for wellbeing you will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate sensitively with broad range of people.
With a strong focus on collaboration and building relationships you will be confident working on your own initiatives and as part of a wider team committed to deliver a programme of wellbeing support.
You will play a crucial hands on role in delivering training and upskilling associated with wellbeing and you will actively encourage and promote employee participation in accessing support, increasing confidence and motivation to engage with services both internally and externally as appropriate.
Committed to working collaboratively with SLT, line managers and local wellbeing SPOCs and coaches you will recommend and encourage the use of Wellbeing initiatives in order for them to support the wellbeing strategy and embed it into the GMP culture.
