What you need to know about the role
You will need to ensure that own and team operations, including those undertaken on the Company's behalf by third party service providers, are conducted in a manner that fully complies with British Steel’s Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental policies.
You will need to follow Felt Leadership and Behavioural Health & Safety standards in all activities and you will be expected to operate material handling equipment in a safe and productive manner, to deliver the required levels of customer service and accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification.

What we need to know about you
We are looking for someone with excellent communication and numerical skills. You will ideally have experience in a similar role.
You need to be flexible, able to use your initiative and committed to achieving results. You will have the ability to work safely under pressure and to tight timescales.
Experience in the steel industry, a fork lift licence, saw experience, operating processing machinery and material handling equipment would all be advantageous. However are not essential as all relevant training will be provided.
