We have an opportunity for a full-time Bereavement Services Officer providing burial and memorial services over 8 cemeteries within Brighton & Hove.
Main advert detail Based at Woodvale Cemetery in Lewes Road, Brighton, and working in a small and busy team, you will provide excellent customer service to bereaved families and funeral directors. Your primary role will be to ensure that burials at our cemeteries take place efficiently and safely, and that they conform to relevant legislation and cemetery regulations. You will also provide support and advice to families who wish to purchase memorials within our cemeteries.
On occasion you will also support other teams within the service, particularly in regard to crematorium bookings.
You will have excellent communication and organisation skills, and be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. The ability to stay focussed in a busy office is essential. You will need a high level of IT literacy, as the service is in the process of reviewing the IT systems used. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
