Our Cheshire based Client is a well-known and respected chemicals manufacturer providing global customers with specialist products.
They operate a Top Tier COMAH continuous process plant consisting of a varied mixture of rotating equipment, static equipment, conveyors, pumps, pipework, pressure vessels etc. They now seek to recruit an adept Mechanical Engineer to continuously improve the reliability and performance of the mechanical assets in terms of safety, health and the environment, costs and the maintenance strategy to meet business needs and regulatory requirements.
Your main objective is to ensure that all plant equipment condition and reliability is maintained and improvements are carried out in order to meet production requirements.
You will also be involved in planning, preparation and execution of annual shutdowns ensuring that all relevant refurbishment / improvement / replacement projects are carried out effectively and efficiently.
Ideally educated to Degree level in Mechanical Engineering and will be able to demonstrate a high level of technical experience and experience with process or heavy plant equipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that all relevant inspections are carried out on this equipment and route cause analysis is carried out on any equipment failure.
You will be expected to demonstrate a track record of planned / reliability maintenance activities as well as maintenance improvement projects.
Personally you will be a focussed engineer with the ability to prioritise workloads in logical manner, communicating effectively the detail of work needed to be carried out. The ability to influence people to ensure that essential engineering activities are carried out is key to this position
My client is keen to speak to Plant Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Reliability Engineers or Maintenance Engineers with a Mechanical Engineering background and a good level experience of rotating equipment, static equipment, conveyors, pumps, pipework, pressure vessels
