The Cloud Administrator will manage our Public Cloud deployment leveraging Amazon Web Services (AWS). The role will be required to work with multiple stakeholders to ensure best practices are followed.
Estimating AWS usage costs and identifying operational cost control mechanisms
Working with Engineering Development teams to select the appropriate AWS service based on compute, data, or security requirements.
Develop a tagging strategy to track existing AWS assets.
Participate in the architecture development and design of AWS.
Developing usage and cost reports, for Engineering Leadership and Finance
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Extensive commercial experience with AWS.
Extensive Scripting experience, ideally with Python.
Solid practical Linux administration skills in a Production environment.
Experience leveraging services such as VPC, EC2, EFS, EBS, Lambda, S3, IAM, Route 53, etc.
Proficiency administering AWS resources using AWS CLI
Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.
1 or more AWS certifications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable presenting to Senior Leadership, both in Engineering and Finance
Exposure to another public cloud (GCP / Azure)
