Fixed TermÂ DramatherapyÂ Post, 25 hours per week until mid-late June 2019
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, qualified and State Registered Dramatherapist to work with the in-patient Arts Psychotherapy team at St. Charles Mental Health Unit and the multidisciplinary team at Bluebell Lodge Rehabilitation Unit in West London. The post comes under the wider Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster Arts Psychotherapies Service.
The Arts Psychotherapy team works alongside other in-patient therapy services (Occupational Therapists and Activity Co-ordinators) and the inpatient Multi-Disciplinary Team (Medics, Nursing, Psychology etc).Â Arts PsychotherapistsÂ also link to outpatient groups for patients making the transition to community services.Â Â
Both inpatientÂ settings have a long history of providing group and individual Drama, Art and Music Therapies. The post holder would be expected to contribute to the care, assessment and treatment of patients on the wards/unit as well as liaising with other services involved in patientsâ care.Â
The wider KCW Arts Psychotherapies Service consists of a large team of therapists, providingÂ servicesÂ for adults with diverse mental health needs in the Westminster and K&C boroughs across a variety of inpatient and community services. Monthly team meetings, including CPD provision take place on Thursday mornings (KCW service) and Monday afternoons (inpatient Arts Psychotherapies). The service is committed to Continuing Professional Development and there are good opportunities for liaison with other Arts Psychotherapists across the Trust and on bothÂ sites.
KCW Arts Psychotherapies are based in West London and are part of Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.
