Skills Development Scotland are seeking dynamic and passionate individuals for the post of Skills Investment Adviser. The Skills Investment Adviser actively manages a portfolio of National Training Programme (NTP) contracts of Learning Providers (including private training providers, colleges, local authorities and employers) to ensure the providers are delivering a quality learning experience and positive outcomes for individuals to ensure continuous improvement. They will facilitate appropriate performance management and reporting of NTP contracts; support quality assurance assessment visits and assist providers to progress their action plans. They will also consult with and gather feedback from participants, apprentices and employers. Contracts cover Modern Apprenticeships and Employability Funded training and are of varying scale and complexity, covering a range of MA Frameworks and Employability Fund delivery models and geographies.

SDS helps the skills and learning system to better respond to the needs of the economy and help individuals benefit from a variety of learning and skills development opportunities.
The successful candidate will have contract/account or project management experience. You will require exceptional planning and organisational skills and with the ability to respond positively to challenging demands and tight deadlines. A proven track record in excellent customer service along with excellent communication skills, enabling you to engage with a range of people from various backgrounds and in various situation. Experience of working with management information systems and reports is highly desirable, as is experience of working with partner organisations to deliver services. You should also be able to demonstrate attention to detail in accurate recording of information and providing written reports and feedback to both contractors and senior management. Due to the nature of the role, frequent travel will be a requirement.
A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential.
