Visitor Experience Assistant Jobs Vacancy at Really Useful Theatres Group Ltd London Jobs Details:

This is a multi-skilled front-line role that requires a deep

understanding of The Other Palace and its work. It includes sales and

data management, looking after visitors and audiences, delivering

excellent customer service and ensuring that the theatre is always

welcoming and at its best.


Main duties:

Ticket Sales 

Ensure effective, accurate and efficient sales of tickets and merchandise. 

Be confident in the use and administration of SRO ticketing system. 

Assist with the daily banking. 

Ensure tickets are sold in such a way in order to generate maximum revenue

for the production and theatre. 

Deliver outstanding customer service and sales standards in the box office and

addressing any problems immediately. 

Administer accurate information regarding current and future productions to the

general public, producers, and ticket agents and ticketing services. 

Represent the Company in a professional courteous and friendly way.

Front of House & Bar 

Offer a charming experience whether on the bar or at an additional sales points,

demonstrating great product knowledge and an ability to maximise sales by

tailoring offers, products and services to the individual customer. 

Usher inside the auditorium, upholding and enforcing all Health & Safety and fire

evacuation policies and procedures - ensuring that the theatre experience is both

enjoyable and safe. 

Interact with all audience members - delivering an exceptional service that ensures

a personable experience is achieved. 

Show flexibility in your approach to work and the ability to deploy effective sales

techniques across any and all roles and positions. 

Demonstrate good attention to detail in all aspects of your work, ensuring the theatre

and its service is consistently presented to a high standard of cleanliness, tidiness

and functionality.

Securely handle cash, taking the appropriate care and accuracy for transactions

through the tills during sales periods. 

To be responsible for the careful and secure movement of stock around the building,

ensuring wastage is declared and items are processed through tills correctly as per

training. 

Prepare and deliver food offering from bar food menu. 

Assist with the setting up, operating and clearing away of additional functions and

events. 

To participate in all training activities. 

To undertake any other reasonable duties or activities as instructed by theatre

management.

Operational 

To act as first point of contact for all visitors, contractors and ensure any

deliveries are logged and stored safely. 

To maintain a tidy and workable space for yourself and colleagues, ensuring

that all leaflet and poster advertising is up to date.


Essential Knowledge, Skills and ability:

Highly numerate with a good level of commercial acumen. 

Ability to learn quickly and retain information 

Experience of delivering high levels of customer service.


Desirable 

Passion for Theatre and the Arts 

Knowledge of our current system SRO
