£25k-35k per annum Plus shift allowance, comprehensive benefits and company bonus
Shift rota: Continental - 2x 12 hour days; 2x 12 hour nights & 4x days off

As Lead Production Operator you will report to the Team Leaders where you'll be critical to helping us achieve and maintain operational excellence in production, along with safety, hygiene, quality and efficiency goals. We rely on our Lead Production Operators’ strong decision-making and technical skills to undertake key responsibilities and ensure continuous production, including:
operating machines and making decisions at line level to achieve Key Performance Indicators
fault diagnosis using root-cause thinking, repairs, checks/inspections and presenting at performance reviews
co-ordinating and driving your team of Production Operators to achieve efficiency and effectiveness
performance monitoring, cleaning and maintaining standards.
Preferably you will have proven experience in manufacturing and you’ll ideally have been formally trained in mechanical systems, operation, fault-finding and lean manufacturing methods. As a Lead Production Operator you'll, also need excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a can-do attitude and real enthusiasm for solving problems and taking on new challenges.
As a Lead Production Operator at Mars, you will be working across a continental shift of two 12 hour days, two 12 hour nights and four days off.
