Purpose of Role
The role requires a professional to work within a small integrated team to assist in the provision of an effective procurement and contract management function. Working within the Commercial and Contract Management Team, supporting the Business Services Manager in the delivery of goods and services to LLWR, you will be an integral part of the successful procurement and management of sub-contracted services that support the delivery of goods, works, and services across LLWR’s business. These contracts and projects typically range in value from £1million to £35million per annum.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
 To Provide a knowledge base of contract terms and conditions to ensure that contract management can be delivered effectively
 To develop, maintain and implement effective supply chain, procurement and contracting strategies that are fully aligned with current & future business needs
 To support the Business Services Manager in the delivery of improvement activity and projects across the team
 Identifying, assessing, mitigating and resolving contract risks and ensuring an adequate contract risk register is maintained
 To extract value from the awarded contracts / agreements being managed on behalf of the wider business
 To support the integration of the Procurement Department with the various Programmes / Projects /Business Units to which services are delivered
 To Support strategic sourcing projects within the LLWR procurement programme and the wider SSA Programme
 To develop and maintain effective working relationships with contractors
 Actively managing the contract deliverables
 Assessing the quality of all contract deliverables
 Measuring performance against Key Performance Indicators
 Managing and assessing payments to Contractors in line with the Terms and Conditions
 Managing commercial reporting requirements for internal and external sources
 Controlling changes to the contract scope, cost and programme
 To deputise for the Business Services Manager in their absence
 Following the business processes that support the Commercial and Contract management Team as defined in the LLWR Management System.

Qualifications and experience
 Minimum of 5 GCSEs or NVQ equivalent including Maths and English at grade C or above; or equivalent
experience;
 Self-motivation and strong interpersonal, communication and team working skills;
 Excellent IT skills using common office software applications;
 Good written communication skills, including experience of and report writing;
 Demonstrable ability to deal with people across a wide range of management levels and technical expertise;
 Understanding of procurement procedures and administration;
 Proven track record of relevant experience;
 A high level of drive and energy to ensure that contracts are managed safely to cost and to schedule;
 Can demonstrate being a self-motivated team player and a good communicator.

Desirable skills
Working knowledge of NDA commercial & supply chain policy / procedures
Working knowledge of Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) methodology
Knowledge of NEC3 forms of contract
