Based in their Yorkshire office, this is an exciting and varied opportunity that will allow you to take on a vital role within the team. This role will be responsible for the retention and up-selling of products, including books and journals to existing customers and the development of new accounts within higher and further education (University and College Libraries) and Corporate and Public Sector customers, selling a range of digital and printed learning sources, covering territories in The Netherlands, Luxemburg etc.
The role is UK based but will require some travel with overnight stays. This role will manage an existing account base, with elements of new business and selling a range of additional products into existing business.

The Successful Applicant Key responsibilities for the Account Manager will include:

  • Managing an existing portfolio of accounts within the higher education and Corporate Accounts
  • Maintain and renew current business
  • Identifying and acquiring new business leads with a consultative approach
  • Leading negotiations and delivering powerful pitches, Product demonstration to both new and existing customers
  • Representing the company at relevant business events
  • Providing key customer and market/competitor insight
  • Forecasting prospects and deals
  • W. Yorkshire based

What's on Offer The ideal Account Manager candidate will have:
  • Minimum of 2+ years consultative selling, ideally from a B2B selling background, or from a recruitment, educational or related background with a track record of success.
  • Driving license (essential)
  • Willingness to travel abroad
  • Strategic and commercially minded
  • Great team working and communication skills
  • Confidence to engage with senior decision makers
  • Strong IT skills
