Part of a global manufacturing organisation this successful division is currently recruiting a Senior Health & Safety Officer. With proven experience in a health and safety role you will ideally have worked in manufacturing, engineering, distribution or similar.
Commutable from: Newark On Trent, Lincoln, Scunthorpe, Grimsby, Boston, Grantham, Mansfield, Worksop.
Salary: £ 30,000 - £ 34,000 p.a. plus Benefits

Reporting to the General Manager your role will be to develop and implement Health, Safety & Environmental best practice and procedures. You will be tasked with developing and maintaining health and safety requirements to include drafting and implementation of HSE systems policy and procedures.
Key responsibilities will include:
Ensure health and safety management systems are set up and maintained
Provide advice and guidance on health and safety/environmental subjects to all levels in the organisation.
Monitor all accidents/dangerous occurrences and environmental incidents
Organise health and safety/environmental surveys and audits on related subjects.
Identify, organise and co-ordinate appropriate health and safety/environmental training
Lead the development and implementation of health and safety/environmental policies and procedures.
Develop, lead, manage and assist with the company health and safety/environmental risk assessment programme.
Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of current health and safety/environmental legislation and best practice.
Act as primary contact with all relevant enforcing authorities.
With proven experience in Health & Safety you will have previously worked in manufacturing, engineering, distribution or a similar environment and be comfortable working hands on. With up to date knowledge of current health and safety practises you will be able to demonstrate a high standard of quality and accuracy in day to day activities. Candidates must have a relevant H&S qualification, ideally NEBOSH.
