We are currently looking to recruit for a Communications & Engagement Manager to join our Communications Team based in Glasgow. Reporting into the Head of Communications the role holder will work in partnership with the Scottish Region leadership team to drive communication and employee engagement to support the achievement of business priorities.

What you will do:
Develop and implement communications and engagement programmes to help drive increased levels of employee engagement
Work in partnership with our client team to develop joint communications plans to support operational communications, marketing campaigns and increased brand awareness
Provide communications counsel and coaching to business units and stakeholders on communications and engagement.
Provide communications planning and delivery to support, key change projects, peak and Group
Support with corporate responsibility communications activity
Lead and deliver our Change Makers people awards and our online R&R platform
Develop, manage and measure traditional and digital communications channels to drive effective two-way communications and engagement
Lead, develop and motivate a small team
Managing key relationships across the regional senior management team in order to communicate site performance, raise the profile of the site and drive usage
Demonstrate Return of Investment (ROI) in relation to all communications and engagement activity and spend
Work with the businesses to deliver quarterly employee engagement surveys driving improved response rates and action planning on a continued basis
Manage internal and external events such as team briefings, roadshows, site visits, recognition events
Some travel across sites

Your experience will include:
Experience of developing and managing communications in a busy operational and customer facing environment
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels in the business, including with external clients
Experience in aligning communications and engagement activity to client brand and values
Broad understanding of current and future communications and engagement tools and techniques
Excellent written skills with the ability to write and edit for a variety of media
Experience of establishing and managing communication channels; magazines, intranet, briefings, social media, plasmas
Highly customer focused with the capability to work to tight deadlines in a changing and dynamic environment
Excellent communications planning skills
Design/visual presentation experience
Experienced in leading a team
Degree level or equivalent communications qualification would be desirable, but not essential
Ability to translate business objectives and data into communications plans and materials
Ability to identify potentially challenging situations that could drive a negative impact on employee engagement and proactively identify opportunities to overcome this
