Contract: Fixed Term: until 31 October 2018 (Full time)
An opportunity has arisen at the British Museum for a Visitor Services Team Leader to ensure consistent delivery of first-class customer care to all, at the UK’s top visitor attraction. In this role, you will be ensure the security and safety of the Museum’s collections, staff and visitors through being proactive and visible at all times.
The post-holder will work to uphold high standards of customer care and professionalism by being knowledgeable about all museum activities and events and supporting other team members. This is an opportunity to enhance and shape the visitor experience at the Museum.
The ideal candidate will have had basic training in customer care, security and/or front line management and will be educated to GCSE level, or equivalent. Experience will include leading a team in a customer-led environment and working in the retail or tourism industry.
You will be confident in communicating clearly and effectively with a variety of people on a daily basis and you will be a flexible team player. You will uphold a sense of professionalism and approachability at all times and will be able to respond appropriately to any situations that may arise.
