Ersou Personal Assistant Jobs Vacancy at Bedfordshire Police Jobs Details:
A vacancy has arisen for a Personal Assistant to support the Senior Management team within the ERSOU Counter Terrorism Policing and Regional Organised Crime Unit, working to the Regional PPA.
The role will primarily provide an administrative and secretarial function to two Superintendents to support the effective performance of their roles, ad hoc support for wider SMT members, as well as resilience in the absence of the PPA.
The successful applicant will have a strong customer service ethos, good attention to detail, excellent communication skills and experience in a range of secretarial and administrative tasks. They will be required to travel across the Eastern region and beyond to arrange and support regional and national meetings. They will also require vetting to SC and MV level and will be STRAP inducted.
The Eastern Region Special Operations Unit (ERSOU) was formed in April 2010 and ERSOU operates on behalf of the six Chief Constables and the six Police and Crime Commissioners for the Eastern region as well as a number of functions now covering Kent. With an establishment of over 700 officers and staff ERSOU delivers specialist policing capabilities through its two commands – the Regional Organised Crime Unit (ROCU) and, since the 1st July 2017, the Counter Terrorism Policing (CTP) Command and through a shared command structure under the direction and control of Bedfordshire Police as lead force.
The ROCU delivers the following capabilities in response to counter the threat from serious and organised crime:

• Regional Asset Recovery Team
• Regional Protected Person Unit
• Regional Covert Coordinator
• Regional GAIN Coordinator
• Regional Cyber and eCrime Unit
• Regional Confidential Unit
• Regional Investigation Teams
• Regional Undercover Unit
• Regional Specialist Support Unit
• Regional OPSY
• Regional Prison Intelligence Unit
• Regional Economic Crime Unit
The capabilities and functions delivered through the new regional CTP Command include Pursue (Intelligence and Investigations), Protect & Prepare, Prevent and CT Borders Policing and it provides the critical link between local policing and the wider CT network. This ensures that as a region we are best placed to deliver against the National Policing Counter-Terrorism Strategy ‘Keeping People Safe from Terrorism’ and the Eastern Region Counter Terrorism Strategy.
