About our service
Edinburgh Childcare 4 All supports the
inclusion of children with additional support needs into mainstream
childcare settings. The service is available to families and
childcare providers across Edinburgh. Working alongside
parents/carers as well as staff in mainstream childcare
organisations, you will provide practical assistance, support and
advice on meaningfully including children with additional support
needs in childcare settings. The service also offers/sources
appropriate training for childcare providers.
Do you want to make a real difference to people's lives?We are looking to recruit an exceptional and experienced Support Worker to work as part of our team to provide a safe, caring environment for children with disabilities.
You will also provide personal care (including intimate care), and support service users with aspects of their general welfare. You will be required to undertake a key working role and assist the Team Leader to maximise customer outcomes.
The role involves a degree of physical activity which includes pushing wheelchairs and providing physical support to our customers including personal care (intimate care). The role will also involve health related practices including mealtime assistance and administration of medication where required.
