Casual team members wanted to join Wembley's ultimate special events centre The Drum at Wembley
Brent is a tremendously vibrant London borough where the iconic arch of Wembley Stadium dominates the skyline. Spanning both inner and outer London, it is a borough of huge contrasts in terms of its economic, environmental, ethnic and social make up. Brent’s diversity is evident to all who visit our borough and our long history of ethnic and cultural diversity has created a place that is truly unique and valued by those who live and work here.
The council is pursuing a far-reaching transformation agenda that better meets the needs of our community so it is an exciting time to join us.
This is a great time to join the Conference and Events team at ‘The Drum at Wembley’. We host a variety of events from weddings and private parties to conferences and corporate events for up to 1000 guests.
We are looking to recruit a pool of committed casual team members to support us in the delivery of all of these events – responsibilities will include assisting with set-ups, ensuring our venues are always clean and tidy, meeting and greeting guests, working in our cloakroom or behind our bars, and venue stewarding.
This would be a good opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable events experience within a busy venue or someone looking for a flexible working schedule as we will be offering a variety of daytime, evening and weekend hours.
This is an important customer facing role so you will be confident and professional at all times when communicating with our guests and clients. You will take pride in our venues and your work and always pay attention to the smallest detail. You will have a pro-active approach to your work and be able to follow instruction with limited supervision. Punctuality is vital as is smart presentation.
This is a busy and fast-paced environment so you will need to be comfortable with that and be quick to react and respond to Supervisor requests and occasional changes to the plan!
