Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a passionate, digitally savvy, flair marketer with a track record of & passion for building great brands with breakthrough, original plans that can be brilliantly executed. Over the course of your career, you have either grown iconic brands or worked on making an icon out of a brand. You build strong relationships & flex your influence to get things done at pace. You are able to work within a complex matrix organisation & handle ambiguity well.
The Role
In this role, you will be working closely with our core global markets of Greater China, Europe, Global Travel and US.to grow 2 of our iconic malts brands that are also amongst the 3 fastest growing malts in the world! You will be responsible for the breakthrough leadership and market execution of the global brand vision and strategy for these brands. You will engage senior leaders & their teams, within marketing, customer marketing and sales, to ensure exceptional, trailblazing growth drivers, cultural platforms, partnerships and assets that engage and inspire markets to execute brilliantly. You will have the analytical rigour and commercial acumen to build competition beating plans at a channel & customer level that roll up to the Diageo Global Malts strategy & ambition. You will also have a great relationship with agency partners and a strong external radar to enable to deliver brilliance and continuously find creative ways to unlock growth & lead these brands to their full potential.
Where will this take you?
You will have developed a global icon and in doing so, you would have developed a complete understanding of how we grow brands at Diageo at all levels through working directly with brand and shopper marketing, innovation, customer marketing directors & their commercial planning teams, category, sales, digital commerce, and finance. You will also work closely with the global malts team to both develop and embed best practice. This will put you in an ideal situation to take on a marketing leadership role in the future, either at a local or global level, and with the cross functional grounding you will gain, also builds the foundations to work across any function in the business.
Your Experience
You will have experience in working on an iconic brand or developing a brand into an icon. You will be naturally curious about consumers, brands, digital and culture. You will have worked across channels to develop brand plans from scratch and delivered breakthrough campaigns and assets several times in your career, ideally within an fmcg business. You will have at least 8 years’ experience and will have progressed through your career to a middle management level. You will be able to demonstrate strong functional and leadership capabilities & experience through your CV and at interview.
Where will you be working?
The role is based in Park Royal, London but some travel (c.20%) will be required during the year to key markets. The role reports into the Global Head of Malts with the Global Reserve Marketing Team.
