Applications are invited for a highly motivated and confident individual to join the busy team in Purchasing & Supplies.
This is 3 years fixed term post (from agreed start date).
The post holder will assist the team in delivery of an efficient and effective procurement service. As an overview: the post holder will be actively involved in obtaining prices, lead-times and other duties related to ordering products and services, whilst ensuring compliance with the Trust SFIs, National and European Procurement Legislation.
In addition, the post holder will carry out some quotations, manage price catalogues, and assist with reports as required. The post holder will provide procurement advice and support to end users, identify savings opportunities and negotiate with suppliers. The post holder will also be expected to work as part of a team.
The successful candidate will ideally need to show evidence of working towards, or have CIPS level 2 or equivalent.
