Financial Accountant (Construction Experience), Central London
£40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
We are proud to be working with one of the UK's leading construction groups to source a talented Financial Accountant to join their team based in the centre of London. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to join a company who have experienced significant success over recent years with plenty more to come.
Key accountabilities will include:
- Maintaining financial records and ensure all entries are correct
- Preparing financial statements under IFRS
- Manage the month-end process (balance sheet reconciliations, reporting etc.)
- Preparing income analysis and expenditure
- Overseeing internal and external audits
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Assisting with accounts payable entries when necessary
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Ad-hoc project work as requested
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working in a similar, technical role within the constrution industry. You will ideally be nearing the end of an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA) and be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of IFRS, along with having substantial experience of UK reporting standards. You will be a strong communicator, be comfortable using a variety of computer systems and be highly numerate in nature. The ability to build effective relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues and be confident working under pressure.
