Security Guard Days Jobs Vacancy at Edf Energy Plc Bridgwater Jobs Details:
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of a team in a day shift pattern. Duties will include: the control of personnel and vehicle access to site, conducting patrols, and the searching of personnel and vehicles with particular emphasis on the use of modern security techniques. Full training will be given in all aspects of the job.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience
As first point of contact for visitors applicants will need to have a customer focused attitude and experience within a customer facing role. They will also need to be articulate, well mannered and be able to respond in a tactful and discrete manner with an understanding of the need for confidentiality. The ability to complete detailed, precise and meaningful verbal and written reports of specific and routine incidents is also required. Computer literacy is also mandatory.
- Candidates should have proven experience of being proactive and working as an effective member of a close-knit team. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a flexible approach to work duties and cover arrangements and should have an understanding of the need to maintain high security standards whilst maintaining a business focus.
- The successful candidate is required by the company to undertake a role in the emergency scheme. Appropriate payments in accordance with the company agreement will be made
- Applicants should possess a full driving licence. It is a requirement that the successful candidate will live within 25 miles, or within 45 minutes travelling time of the station.
- As a minimum, applicants will be educated to GCSE/national qualification standards (or equivalent). Candidates with these qualifications that include “c” and above grade passes in English and Mathematics will have an advantage.
