In a nutshell
The Social Media Analyst is responsible for providing insight into social media strategies for the business; quickly understanding and supporting initiatives that will contribute to the goals and success of campaigns, specific to social media.
What I need to do
You will oversee increasing the overall exposure of Argos though search engine optimization (SEO) and by finding ways to use these keywords in marketing strategies. Also monitor emerging social media tools and trends to see how they can be incorporated into the company's business, marketing and public relation strategies.
You will study trends in social media, research popular social media platforms, study emerging social media trends and observe how these can be used to improve business efficiency. The analyst will write up reports for clients and team members to show them the strategies available to them and highlight key trends for their teams. They may also alert clients about any potential problems or concerns that may be arise using alert and crisis monitors within social listening.
Also supporting other business needs as and when required – such as the Customer Research team and ForeSee analytics – whilst working closely with the Commercial Analysis team to produce reporting that provides a view on customer journeys and explore online insights to help the business understand, track and grow market share.
- Develop and implement dashboard reporting for all social media activity
- Support content & strategy teams by providing fact-based research & analysis that can be used to enhance day-to-day work
- Transform data into insights by charting social media trends and anomalies around markets
- Continuously develop team reporting, driving insight into the teams
- Create weekly/monthly reports and actionable summaries to inform business decisions
- Analyse user engagement (e.g. click-through and bounce rates)
- Report on web traffic from all social media
- Build and support SEO strategies, including optimizing keywords in content marketing projects
- Identify habits of our online customers and suggest ways to reach a broader audience
- Research how emerging social networks and features can benefit our company
