Delivery Support Worker Jobs Vacancy at Lancashire County Council Jobs Details:
We are seeking to appoint a Delivery Support Worker for the safe and smooth operation of group based programmes in neighbourhood centres.
This position is part time term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent. If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro –rata basis.
Key AccountabilitiesThe postholder will work in close cooperation with Neighbourhood Outreach Workers to create and manage the suitability of the environment in the neighbourhood centre. They will ensure that all participants and visitors to our provision are safely and warmly greeted, welcomed and enabled to get maximum benefit from their participation. The health and safety of the operating environment will be monitored by these staff and appropriate 'risk assessed' responses put in place. This means that these staff will assist with such things as physical environment layout and maintenance of standards, basic testing and review procedures, bookings, displays, contractor liaison where necessary, multi-agency partner delivery requirements etc. The postholder will help manage the appointments arrangements at service points, deal with general queries, meet and greet service users and members of the public and carry out general processing and administrative tasks. Where appropriate they may also assist with supporting the delivery of group sessions to ensure appropriate supervision/ratios are maintained and support group participants with their participation needs as necessary. There may also be the need to support the Service's vehicle fleet of minibuses and MPVs by undertaking daily/weekly checks, cleaning and taking the vehicles for repairs or servicing.
The postholder will be deployed through flexible working arrangements to ensure that appropriate ratios are maintained for provision and that programme rotas for the different neighbourhood centre delivery specifications are covered.
Skills and ExperienceLevel 2 or above professional and/or relevant academic qualification OR vocational experience in a relevant technical or operational field.
