Birmingham City Business School is looking to recruit a permanent Course Administrator. If you’re customer-focused, quality-driven and keen to follow a professional career within administration – with clearly defined career paths and opportunities – there’s never been a better time to join us. You will report directly into the team leader and will work closely with Course Leaders and other administrators within the school.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to positively contribute to the student experience at Birmingham City University and who is seeking a career in the exciting world of administration in Higher Education. Course Administrators are responsible for managing a portfolio of courses and modules (postgraduate and undergraduate) including delivering Examination Boards, maintaining student records, Committee clerking and providing expert advice and support to students and colleagues across the student lifecycle.
Providing expert advice and support to the School is key to the effectiveness of this role.
You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) coupled with proven administrative, IT and customer service experience within a complex environment. you'll need to have excellent IT skills (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). And whilst it's not essential, any experience of budgetary administration, staff recruitment or the organization of overseas travel is desirable. Your drive to deliver superb customer service and your exceptional communication skills alongside your ability to act as a team player, demonstrate intellectual curiosity, to manage your workload and your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be what sets you apart.
