The NSPCC is in the process of updating and reviewing its strategic direction and this gives an opportunity for you to be able to be in at the ground floor and to have a voice in the shape and direction that the organisation will take.
In the new year Peterborough Service centre will be hosting a Campaign in the area to raise the profile of Child Sexual Exploitation and the work that we do and will be engaging local partners within this. This will provide opportunities for staff who are interested to be involved in a variety of Media work to assist in the promotion of the services.
Peterborough Service Centre provides the following 1-1 services to children and young people, Letting the future in -Learning disability which is for children from the ages of 4-18yrs who have been sexually abused. We also offer Protect and Respect and this for young people from the ages 11-19yrs and for those who have experienced or at risk of Child Sexual Exploitation. We also offer Turn the Page which is Aim assessments for children from the ages of 5-11yr and 12-18yrs who are exhibiting Harmful sexual behaviour.
There is the opportunity to work with other professionals in delivering training around Harmful sexual behaviour and to also be engaged in group work within school using the Protect and Respect model.
There is regular formal and ad hoc supervision with peer support, training and family friendly work policies.
We are looking for a qualified Social worker with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. Safeguarding knowledge and experience, and an advantage if you have some experience of delivering therapeutic interventions. HCPC registration is a must as well as a requirement for an enhanced DBS check prior to commencing the role.
