Agricultural Parts / Service Manager

Our client has been selling new and used quality agricultural machinery since 1846 and today operates with five trading divisions.
They are looking for a Parts Manager who has experience working of working in a parts department or retail environment, ideally within the agricultural industry.
Parts Manager Role
As Agricultural Parts Manager you will be responsible for organising a team of Parts Assistants to operate efficient and effectively cover retail counters, goods inwards and a showroom to maintain profitability. You will work with other internal departments in order to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are upheld.
As well as leading the team of parts assistants, you will liaise between suppliers’, customers and the Service department to ensure parts are supplied on time. You will have some administrative duties to carry out working with a part time administrator. As part of the Management team you will be required to handle out of hours parts calls and work hours to suit the seasonal demand of agriculture.
Knowledge and understanding of the agriculture industry and equipment such as JCB, New Holland and Case IH as well as other leading brands would be beneficial for this role, alongside previous experience in parts or retail.
You must have excellent organisational and time management skills, have great written and spoken communication skills and the ability to lead a team. Candidates must live within commutable distance to Spalding and will need to be able to commit to being on call out of office hours.

- Have knowledge and understanding of agriculture, construction or plant hire industry and associated equipment
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure essential
- Knowledge of stock control and stocking levels
- Ability to run reports and analyse data
- Work to targets and timescales
