Due to a retirement we are looking for a Bookings Administrator to join the team in Derby.
About the job
This is an extremely varied and fast-paced role in which you will be a member of the Inpatient & NHS Bookings Team and will respond to a variety of customer requests to support all patients to access the hospital services. You will assist in ensuring all theatre bookings are processed in a timely manner whilst maintaining the 18 week patient journey for NHS patients and understand the importance and implications of patient breach. Manage key relationships with regard to Consultants, GP s, Practice Managers and the local Clinical Commissioning Group. Working with the theatre and ward team to ensure that accurate and timely procedures are booked is an essential part of this role.
About the person
It is imperative that candidates must have competent IT and keyboard skills, good communication/interpersonal skills, good organisation and analytical skills. Candidates with a good knowledge and understanding of medical terminology desirable but not essential. Candidates must also be prepared to undertake training as necessary for the role.
