We’re looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team. You will be partnering with the Sales team to provide phenomenal support throughout the entire sales process including closing new deals with our awesome prospects as well as effectively transitioning new clients to the Implementation team.

Job Requirements

Being a product expert so that you can effectively present the Phenom Platform to prospects in various stages of the sales process; demoes can be conducted both via webinar and in-person

Presenting the Phenom platform and influencing and accelerating the prospect’s decision-making process; inspiring trust so that you can take on an advisory function within the sales cycle

Supporting the needs of prospects and the sales team in various tasks such as presentation making, responding to platform and technical queries, working on RFP/I’s, etc.

Conducting detailed account scoping to ensure proper prospect pricing and thereby setting up Implementation for success with clear SOWs

Calculating and influencing pricing and SOW quotations based upon the specific needs of the prospect and their organization

Supporting the team at occasionally conferences and industry events as a brand and platform ambassador

Providing training and/or ancillary best practices and advice to new clients so as to facilitate a smooth transition to the Implementation and Customer Success teams

Deep knowledge of or a direct Practitioner of HR Technology and Recruitment Marketing strategies

Ability to understand the prospect’s business objectives, challenges and technology stack so that you can effectively propose solutions that bridge their existing systems and the Phenom platform capabilities

Ability to inspire trust and create partnerships with the prospect with whom you interact

Ability to weave the story of the candidate journey, recruiter and talent acquisition needs into an effective demonstration of the Phenom platform versus simply presenting features

Possess the depth of technology knowledge needed to assess scoping requirements of a client and address questions throughout the sales process

Ability to qualify the prospect’s fit for the Platform from a purchasing perspective (identifying available budget, business problems the platform would solve, etc.)

PHENOMenal communication skills both written and oral; ability to present at times with little to no preparation in front of C Level professionals

Passion for technology and ability to stay abreast of industry trends

Analytical skills for conducting, reviewing and making recommendations based upon Platform information and externally conducted audits

Willingness to jump in and help in all areas of the business regardless of your focus in Sales Engineering (#StartUpLife)


Education

BS Degree or related work experience


Work Experience

2-5 plus years of experience in Technical Sales or Sales Engineering with additional experience in one or more of the following areas:

Talent Acquisition / Recruitment / Human Capital Management

HR Technology / HR Consulting

Digital Marketing / Employment Brand Marketing

HR / Talent Acquisition Practitioners with experience selecting and implementing HR Technology will be consider even if they do not have Sales experience.

Demonstrable ability to function seamlessly as both a team contributor and a leader within the organization

Adept public speaker with experience leading conversations, demoes or presentations in front both intimate groups, board rooms and large audiences

Inclusive of the ability to handle technical presentations and speak to modern technology architectures (web services, APIs, cloud services, etc.)

Deep understanding of HR Technologies in areas such as:

  • Recruitment Marketing
  • CRMs
  • CMSs
  • Talent Communities
  • Job Boards / Aggregators / PPC
  • ATSs
  • Ability to travel domestically or internationally (occasionally with little advanced notice)
