Production Manager - We are seeking an experienced Production Manager who has extensive experience within high mix low volume manufacturing environments. Our client supply precision fabricated metal products to a variety of industries including automotive, agriculture, bus and truck yellow goods, power generation and general engineering industries.
The successful candidate will be managing and monitoring production process improvement to maximise efficiencies, decrease downtime and maximise productivity. You will be responsible for all staff in the production department as well as the capacity planning to ensure capacity over demand in all production processes. Developing strong working relationships is crucial with all internal department heads to ensure a collaborative approach.
You will have a proven track record in ‘hands on’ and available production management and experience of conducting recruitment interviews, grievances and disciplinary. Experience within a similar environment with processes including welding, laser, CNC and presswork with lean manufacture methods whilst six-sigma trained.
You will also display the following:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written at all levels
- PC literate including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
- Knowledge of operating a production facility to AS9001 standards
- Knowledge of advanced welding, machining and heat treatment processes
- Experienced gained within an automotive / aerospace / nuclear / medical & power-gen industry
- Experience with the manipulation and manufacture of ferrous and non-ferrous metals
