The Brighter Futures programme has allowed Ealing Children's Services to develop and validate new ways of working by delivering services to children, young people, families and carers through multi-disciplinary teams.
Our core aim and commitment is to improve the lives and outcomes for children and young people in care or in the community. Ealing wants to build empathetic, respectful and trusting relationships with children, young people, their families or carers to achieve better and more meaningful outcomes.
We are currently looking for exceptional and committed Family Support Workers to have a specific focus on supporting families with multiple problems to transform their lives. Our aim is to build on our existing good work to sustain positive lasting change, improve outcomes and raise the aspirations of our families who face the most difficult and complex challenges and we see the role of the Family Support worker as crucial in enabling these visions.
The successful candidates will have experience of working directly with children and families and an understanding of the issues they face. You should be familiar with working with partners, have good communication skills and a good working knowledge of current safeguarding legislation.
This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
